On this week’s Drink Spirits Happy Hour, we take a look at the negroni cocktail. Built as a ‘stronger’ version of the classic Americano (which is Campari, vermouth and soda), the Negroni has found a huge following in the craft cocktail world and is often championed by such luminaries as Tony Abou-Ganim. The drink can be either served “up” in a chilled cocktail glass or over the rocks in an old fashioned glass. We recommend first timers to try a negroni over the rocks as the drink ventures in the bitter category and is easier when served with ice.
